Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 6, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Pinpoint app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information during registration (name, email, postcode).
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and authentication methods (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In).
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must not create multiple accounts or impersonate others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, or harmful content in community zones
• Impersonate government officials, representatives, or other users
• Use the AI chat feature to generate misleading political content or misinformation
• Attempt to manipulate survey results or civic engagement metrics
• Circumvent moderation, blocking, or muting systems
• Use the app for commercial solicitation within community zones
• Interfere with the app's operation or other users' experience

5. User Content and Moderation

• You retain ownership of content you create (messages, audio recordings, community posts, survey responses).
• By posting content in community zones, you grant Mile High Interface LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and moderate that content within the app.
• We may remove or restrict content that violates these terms or applicable law.
• Users may report, block, or mute other users. We review reports and may take action at our discretion.
• Community profiles (username, avatar, bio, social links, survey top results) are visible to other users in shared zones.

6. AI Chat Feature

• The AI chat feature generates responses using artificial intelligence. These responses are simulated conversations and do not represent the actual views, statements, or positions of any real government official or representative.
• AI-generated content is for informational and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as official statements, legal advice, or factual representations of any official's positions.
• Chat sessions are stored locally on your device and processed through our backend servers.

7. Civic Data and Information

• Legislative data, election information, campaign finance data, and official profiles are sourced from third-party public databases (including OpenStates and Google Civic Information API) and may not always be current or complete.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any civic data displayed in the app.
• The app is not a substitute for official government sources when making voting or civic decisions.

8. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through the “Settings” screen. Deletion removes your server-side data and clears locally stored data.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or are used for purposes inconsistent with the app's civic engagement mission.

9. Intellectual Property

• The Pinpoint app, its design, features, and original content are owned by Mile High Interface LLC.
• Public civic data displayed in the app is sourced from third-party providers and is subject to their respective terms.

10. Disclaimers

• The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that civic data will be accurate or current.
• We are not liable for user-generated content, AI-generated content, or third-party data.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mile High Interface LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to reliance on civic data, AI-generated content, or community interactions.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, U.S.A., without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
